Raising Literacy Australia is a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to improve children’s early language and literacy development and break cycles of disadvantage by providing integrated educational support, programs and resources to families, children and communities. We offer both universal and targeted programs to support families to read, talk, play and sing with their children from birth.

Raising Literacy Australia also runs its own publishing house, Little Book Press, which publishes high-quality, award-winning children’s picture books. All proceeds from Little Book Press go back to supporting the programs of Raising Literacy Australia.

Raising Literacy Australia is currently leading Words Grow Minds, an Australian-first early childhood development campaign which aims to increase public and parental awareness of the importance of early childhood development, and the life-changing impact positive interactions with babies and young children have in the first three years of life.

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Marketing Officer to join our organisation. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring various marketing campaigns that align with the organisation’s objectives. Your work will cover Raising Literacy Australia programs, the promotion of our professional development and training courses, and the work and new publications from Little Book Press.

Responsibilities:

Develop, articulate and execute the overall marketing strategy aligned with the organisation’s objectives.

Oversee the development of captivating marketing collaterals, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, advertisements, press releases and digital content.

Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, organisations and media outlets to maximise marketing reach and impact.

Oversee the performance of various marketing campaigns.

Assisted in organising networking and promotional events and represented the organisation at relevant external events.

Assist with digital strategy and social media management.

Manage the marketing database and oversee email distribution.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field or a minimum of 5 years in a similar role

Proven track record of developing, managing and executing wide-ranging marketing campaigns

Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in the Marketing industry

Understanding of marketing techniques, data analysis tools, basic principles and relevant marketing software

Ability to efficiently multitask and prioritise tasks

Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation or in the publishing industry is a plus but not essential

This is a full-time position located in Adelaide. Starting salary will be between $75,000 and $90,000 dependent on skills and experience
