The Vintage Shop on Chapel is a vintage concept store located in South Yarra. We operate in an industry which is sustainable, but is also growing exponentially. We are currently looking for a serious and genuinely passionate sales professional to join our team.

About you

You have a high level of commercial awareness, and you have demonstrated experience in professional sales roles. You are comfortable aligning yourself to company culture, procedures and KPIs, as you’ll be responsible for sales outcomes. You love clothes and/or fashion and take an interest in the details: you are curious about fabric, styles, brands, and history. You connect with people effectively and are able to use those connections to expand the customer’s experience and vision in store, earning their trust and delivering a service to clients that exceeds their expectations. You place a high value on your own professionalism, work ethic and conduct. You are looking for a role that will challenge you professionally and where your contribution is considered important.

About the role

The role requires someone dynamic, commercial, inspired, sales driven, and excited to show people product and to provide inspiration and ideas to customers throughout their shopping experience. The successful candidate must possess, or be prepared to develop in their own time, product knowledge that is unique to vintage clothing. The role will be perfectly suited to someone who knows how to use their product knowledge and awareness to deliver superior sales support and customer service to clients. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute effectively to stock presentation and cleanliness as part of their everyday activities, and will also participate in stock delivery and placement procedures. Success in the role will be recognised by effective team collaboration and harmony, regular attainment of sales and performance KPIs, and consistently positive feedback from visitors and clients.

The successful candidate will be invited to enter the business in a Casual role.

There is opportunity to transition into a permanent role after 90 days for the right candidate.

The role broadly includes (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities:

Delivering on KPIs and sales targets
Offering creative and dynamic sales and customer support at all times
Effective maintenance of stock presentation and cleanliness
Effective team collaboration to support sales processes
Actioning stock delivery and placement processes
Supporting display and merchandising processes
