Accounts Officer – Full Time | Arch Project Group | Mildura VIC

Arch Project Group is a professional construction company specialising in Insurance Assessed Building Repairs and Restoration, Property Development and Project Management. We also operate a transportable buildings division and a timber and hardware store – making us a dynamic and fast-growing group of businesses.

Due to recent growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Officer to support the core finance functions across the group. Based in our Mildura office, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and high-performing team. Your New Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations across the business, with a strong focus on:

Accounts Payable:

  • Entering bills into Prime (our software system)

  • Seeking approvals and following up outstanding items

  • Scheduling payments and batching in Xero

  • Supplier statement reconciliation

Accounts Receivable:

  • Timely invoicing in line with KPI expectations

  • Following up overdue accounts

  • Reconciling incoming payments with remittance advices

Other Responsibilities:

  • Inter-entity transaction reconciliation across the group

  • Weekly payroll preparation

  • Monthly credit card reconciliations

  • Completing credit applications as requested

  • Managing multiple shared email inboxes

  • Professional communication with suppliers and clients

  • Ad-hoc finance and administration duties as required

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and bring a high level of accuracy, initiative and attention to detail.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven bookkeeping and accounts experience

  • Familiarity with Xero (highly regarded)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong time management and organisational abilities

  • Confidence in problem-solving and identifying process improvements

  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and manage competing priorities

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate or further education in Accounting or Finance (not essential)
